Lowell started acting in Dangerously Close, followed by one small role in Club Paradise, starring as Robin Williams. The roles she played included co-starring alongside Bond girl Pam Bouvier, in the James Bond movie Licence to Kill (1989) as well as Assistant District Attorney Jamie Ross, in 1996. She also appeared in Law & Order for two seasons. In 2005, she played the similar role as Jamie Ross on Law & Order: Trial by Jury. In 2022 she was back on the original series. [6] Prior to being cast in the role, she was dissatisfied in her acting career. She was accepted into New York University's documentary filmmaking programme. [4] In the late 2000s she had a break from acting. Lowell provided Lowell her voice and likeness in 2012 as she reprised her Licence to Kill part in the video game 007 Legends. Lowell returned to television in 2018, and was on Blue Bloods as a guest. [7][8] Personal life Lowell was married three times. John Stember, a fashion photographer to whom Lowell was first married to, was her third spouse. [9][10] The couple was together as actor Griffin Dunne from 1989 to 1995 and has a daughter, Hannah, from the marriage. [citation needed] Lowell married actor Richard Gere in November 2002,[11after the birth of their son Homer James Jigme Gere, who was born in February 2000. After 11 years of marriage, the couple divorced in September 2013. They were in New York Supreme Court divorce proceedings. The divorce case was finally resolved in October 2016. [13]
