Swallow has a family in Jacksonville Florida. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia with Middle Eastern Studies as her major. Swallow received her acting degree in the New York University Tisch School of the Arts. Swallow played both the bad and good guys on film and television. She was an officer in Ringer and a wife of a detective on Southland, a bounty-hunter on CBS The Odds' pilot The Odds and a bank robber in Medium. In addition to her work, Swallow has also been the mermaid in Shana-Sosin's independently produced film The Rift.
