Sheryl Underwood, an American comedy and television star popular as presenter of The Talk, a popular talk show on the daytime channel. Born in Arkansas she was raised by her parents in Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl is from a troubled family. Sheryl spent a large portion of her life looking after her sister Frankie as she was a victim of polio. While growing up, Sheryl had many problems with her mom. Sheryl said that at one time, her mother stabbed the father of her child due to her proximity to him. Sheryl entered the military following her graduation from university. She was interested in comedy. The only woman in the 1989 contest Miller Lite Comedy Search. In 1992she made her TV debut as a regular participant on the HBO show Def Comedy Jam.
