Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. She is half English mixed with Spanish She is the child of Dennis Alan Taylor a former banker, and Jennifer Marina Joy a psychologist. His father is an Argentine who had Scottish as well as English heritage. Her mother is Spanish and has English roots. Taylor-Joy has four siblings from her father's prior marriage. Buenos Aires was her home until the age of six when the family moved into Victoria in London. Taylor-Joy claims that the move to London was traumatic and she did not study English so that she could avoid returning to Argentina. Hill House had to be her new school when she switched from Northlands. Then she attended Queen's Gate School where she trained in ballet and appeared in school plays. When she was 16 she left school to take on a full-time job in acting. At a very young age, Taylor-Joy had a dream to be an actor and her goals were realized when she was offered an opportunity to model by Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
